This video was taken at Taos, NM in September, 1999. Things of note: This was the first public appearance of the completed BFG-50 prototype; you'll notice that there's no finish on the gun. Check out the guy with the M-16 taking a step back after he catches the muzzle brake blast. At the very end of the video the ejected shell is visible in the air. Try that with a shell-holder! Thanks to Brian A. for the video.
Taken on 2/27/00 at the Hernando Sportsman's Club in Brooksville, FL. This is an MPEG video of Mark Serbu firing BFG-50 production gun serial number 0001. Like the video above, this one was taken with a Sony Mavica digital camera (FD88 this time). Great for stills, but the video is a bit lacking. Notice two things in the video: First, no scope! 45 minutes of sleep the night before will tend to make one forgetful. Second, no magazine, though there is a hole for it. That's why you can see daylight through the gun as the bolt is pulled back.
Test firing BFG-50 serial number 0115 at the Hernando range, 3/22/01. The target is an old window air conditioning unit, the ammunition is API.
