First of all I would like to thank Al Burghard for selling me the instrument of destruction, Second, I would like to thank Ben for hooking me up with some starter ammo, third, I would like to thank Mark Serbu for making such an evil device that circumvents CA law (I use the term "law" loosely in this context) and finally I would like to say Twisted Evil He He-He, He-He, Ha Ha, Ha , He He. I actually punched a hole through a 6" THICK CONCTETE WALL!!!!!!!!! Granted, it was about a 70 year old conctete wall, but it was still a CONCTETE WALL!! I only had 50 rounds so I brought a good chunk of the rest of my arsenal thinking that I would do a bunch of other shooting but I gotta tell you. 50 rounds of this thing and I was pretty tired. It took 15 rounds to dial in the scope because the kid I took with me to spot (my protoge who normally mows the lawn) couldn't spot a 1/2" hole @ 200yds w/a x45 spotting scope and after 8 rounds I was really scratching my head saying "this makes no sense at all" After 10 rounds, I looked in the spotting scope myself, poked him in the eyes like Moe would have done to Curly, and 5 rounds later we were making 1" groups @ 200yds. Need a pallet of ammo, any one know where I can get one? Next trip out we are going to dial her in to 300 yds. I gotta tell ya mr Serbu, this is really getting good to me. I knew it would be fun but I had no Idea!!!! We killed a full keg of Pabst Blue Ribbon, my protoge ( remember the one who couldn't spot a 1/2" hole @ 200yd w/ x45, he screwed up the shot of the keg exploding and flying off into oblivion with the video cam (i'm starting to think he's no Speilberg). Any way, we killed some watermellon (very dramatic) 30 packs of old milwakee (funny funny stuff) and almost punched a hole through 1/2" A36 steel @ 200 yds w/ a solid brass projectile!!! I am truly impressed and proud to be a BFG owner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to see the ammo worked out alright for you!
I can host any pics or vids you might like to post!

You might want to try calling Bill Richie over at EDM Arms (edmarms.com) in Redlands, and ask if he still has any cans of the DTC fireform ammo he got from Jerry Hazlett of AmerICan Ent. Jerry's been making it for a while and the samples he sent me worked pretty good in my BFG.

Otherwise, I can make up some more when I get back from AZ on Friday.

//Ben

Hey, Frank...our guns CONFORM to CA law, they don't circumvent it. Remember, your serial number prefix means FOR California. And that's what we're all about here at Serbu Firearms, Inc. We're FOR California. Twisted Evil Glad you're having fun with your BFG....wish we could see some of those videos! Also glad you didn't shoot any GOOD beer. Wink

That would be alcohol abuse! I keep the good beeer in the Kegerator in the pool house. Circumvent was a poor word choice.

Working on a short video that requires the shot the kid blew. It's going to be pretty funny but will have to wait until I get a new camera person, more ammo, and another keg of some crap beer. It'sturning out to be an expensive production. Oddly enough, Albertsons refuses to give me back my keg deposit Rolling Eyes

i finally had some time to take out my 50 DTC out to lancaster for some fun desert shooting. THere was an abandoned car there, must have been like a 1987 oldsmobile station wagon or something. It was a cast iron block, and i decided to test the strength of the 50. I was about 100 yards out. I was impressed, very very impressed. the projectile went straight through the fenderwall, demolished the headers, tore apart the gaskets, put a clean hole in the heads, and went straight into the engine block. THe bullet stopped in the engine block. I know it stopped there because the whole car started smoking up. i ran over to see what was going on, and the smoke was from the oil that was left in the engine. The bullet was so hot it heated up the oil. I was definitely impressed. it was a beautifil scene. Now i want a 20mm. I wonder what that will do to an engine block
