I got my 50A last Friday. I'm mostly a handgun shooter who worships at the altar of JMB and GG, but not much rifle experience beyond a few AR15s. Anyhow, I had this brilliant idea I would reassemble the gun without the firing pin since I was going to be showing it off in a non-shooting environment.
Those of you who know what they are are doing with this gun already know the trouble I got myself into when the cam pin moved out of the bolt and rotated while the bolt was only slightly out of battery. Guru Serbu gave me some great advice and I finally got it apart after much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Absolutely beautiful gun that exceeded my every expectation for quality construction and just plain "cool design". My wife has been told to invite my range buddies over to pick the safe clean if I kick the bucket, and I have no doubt which one everyone of those damn vultures will be fighting over. |
