Hi guys,
First post, just looking for some info. After several years firing .22 calibre target rifles in the UK, I finally got the oppertunity to chamber some BMG a few weeks back whilst on TA (UK eqv of US national guard?) cross training with the regulars... wow what a tool! I'm hooked
Anyway, I'm now interested in investing in my first .50cal, nothing too exotic (or terrifyingly expensive!) one shot at a time is enough for me (especially at the equivelent of $7 a round here in blighty.. sigh), and the BFG-50 looks and sounds like just the ticket.
I have checked with the UK FCSA (Fifty cal shooters association) who have informed me that import to the UK isn't a problem (don't even require a permit!), but that I need to check regarding export regulations in the US, as I hear theres been some changes to the law over there recently regarding military grade 50cal stuff?
Anyway, any information you could give me regarding the possibility of exporting a standard barrelled BFG-50 to the UK would be great!

We'll see what we can do. I know the U.S. State Department has been saying "NO" to complete rifles, but maybe if it's a receiver only (which can also be used with a .510 DTC cartridge) maybe it'll go through. Or maybe they have recently changed some regulations, but I don't know. Will post the news when we get it figured out.
