I notice on the imagemap on your website main page, there's a 20mm cartridge standing next to a (small looking) .50bmg. Is there perchance a 20mm rifle in the future?
As though .50bmg wasn't big enough...
Would this be NFA? Or a destructive device? Or...what? _________________ The right of the people to keep and arm bears shall not be infringed. |

NFA is a class; it includes things like destructive devices. (FYI, that's like asking if something's going to be a Harley-Davidson or a Sportster.)
Any 20mm will definitely be a destructive device requiring NFA registration.

There's been a 20mm bolt-action in the works for a long time, and it'll be in the works for a while more. Just too much other stuff to do!! Yes, it'll be a destructive device when complete, but we should be able to sell them without barrels as Title 1 guns (just like a regular firearm). The customer could then file a Form 1 to convert it to DD status, and then add the barrel.

would this gun take a vucan or lahti round?
I would love to see either one in either production or special order status.
I would go through the hassle to get one.
vulcan ammo is $8 from brashco!!
mayby a bolt action mated to a lahti magazine _________________ MCP

so mark, a 20mm vulcan barrel from big sky surplus is $350
I was thinking of getting one. Could a modified 50bmg reciever handle the blast?
of course I would get the reciever from you and register it.
what options are currently available to us guys who think bigger is better.
I imagine if you made a shark brake for the bfg-787 it would be about twice as long as the 50's
is there anything I or anyone else on this board could do to speed development of the BFG-787 ?
IE. deposits, research, raw material _________________ MCP

What will the recoil be on something like that? Granted
rifle weight and brake quality has everything to do with
it, but DAMN! 20MM is big man! _________________ He who is silent is understood to consent.

Has anybody seen that Anzio Ironworks has a 20mm for sale I practicaly
S*** myself when I saw it. Its a bit pricey though. The real
question is how long will it take mark to get his cheaper and better 20mm
into production to steal some of there buisness and thunder. _________________ Always keep your back to the wall and face to the door! |

It would be nice if Mark could produce a 20mm at a price we could all aford similiar to his BFG-50 when complete.
My proposal for a name for this new 20mm gun: RBFG-20
I hope we see it in production soon... but I hope Mark can keep the prices down especially if we will need to supply our own barrels, and register it as a DD.
I want one when the time comes.... Mark, please keep me in mind. _________________ USMC Viet Nam Vet '66-'68 Semper Fi |

Hey, I think we should create a "let's name it" thread here... maybe it will help Mark put it into production... and also give us something to do..
Let see so far we have:
RBFG-20
Serbu 20
I'm going to add a few more for fun to get us started:
The Negotiator-20
FYATHYRIO-20 ( ..... and the horse you rode in on )
MMD-20 (Make My Day)
I've got more but I'll wait and see if this catches on.... _________________ USMC Viet Nam Vet '66-'68 Semper Fi |
