Just wonder what ranges there are in Florida that I could fire a 50 cal at? I live in central Florida and the only ranges that I know of are 100 yard in length, I would like to try some longer ranges with such a rifle.

There's supposedly a 1000-yard range in Port Malabar, but that's pretty far from central FL. We have a 600-yard range just an hour South of us in Manatee. Best bet is to check with the FCSA to find out more about ranges around the State.

I am pretty sure that Malabar does not allow fifties. Try Hernando Sportsmans Club near Weeki Wachee. Also Bradford Sporting clays allows fiftys last time I was there. They had a 600 yd shooting position with a small berm. I have heard that they have enlarged it. Manatee Gun Club is the best place to shoot a fifty in my opinion. They have up to 690 yards and are working on 1000. Every month or so they have a clay bird shoot at 560 yards. I got lucky enough to hit 4 in a row and win one of those matcheswith BFG-113. There is a good group of shooters down there who are very knowledgable and helpful.
