i have a carbine and i just installed the ATM 80mm scope its huge and powerful. so now i what to make my gun where it can meet the scope power. iam planing to get the 36" barrel but i was wondering a few things on the barrel. in one thread i read that a barrel Is 1.625" OD except for the last 11 inches, where it tapers down to 1.25". but i also read that you can leave the taper off. i wounder if that can be done. and have a 2" muzzle break. and if you can make a muzzle break in stainless steel along with a stainless barrel. and is there any thing else that can be change or upgraded. i really happy with my BFG but i just what it to be a little different than most of them. i also saw the pic of the gun rack on the pic and video group. and i notice that some of the hand guards where different. the carbines had holes in it and where a little shorter than the hand guards on the stanard size and with no holes. i was just wondering if i get the longer barrel if the hand guard has to be change or if it matters.
cause me and a buddy of mine that has a BFG thought that it would kinda cool if we could get the handguard cut so that it matches that muzzle break. i do not know how much work that would be, we just thought it would look different and cool. we are also working on changing the legs of our bipods by making them look like a 50BMG round by turning some 2" bar stock. i hope it turns out better than it sounds[/quote] _________________ NRA member |
