I fired my first hand-loads for my AMAC yesterday. It put 5 shots in just over 1.00 at 100yds. Far better than the 4-5 inch groups I was getting with Talon.
I loaded 215gr of Hodgon H50BMG with Hornady AMAX 750 gr bullets in SL43 brass. I know I can improve on this, but for now I am just happy to get a decent grouping.
I may sell on other box of Talon to buy powder and AMAX bullets _________________ Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs |

Talon remanuf ammo had a reputation for inconsistency but not to a point
where they were dangerous (like the other remanuf with "T..."
i actually came across two boxes with same lot# which gave me 1MOA
and i was absolutely thrilled. but subsequent purchases weren't so
rewarding. still, Talon (IMO) was first pick in terms of plinking ammo....
but not now, since it's a seller's market on these. no thanks, i'll reload. _________________ --- raymond-
