Hi,
I'd love to get some input of using a Remington vs. a Mossberg vs. a Maverick receiver for your base gun. I'm planning to obtain one of theses and do the paperwork myself, since the only class III dealer I know is quite a ways away.
I've fired one of the Remington "witness protection" guns and decided I wanted something like it, and the Super-Shorty seems to fit that bill well. This weapon would see a lot of use/be carried frequently/taken camping, etc.
As I understand it, if I purchase one with a pistol grip already installed, factory new, I can just do the $5 stamp, correct? Is there any other issues with doing the paperwork yourself I should know about? I've known others locally who have done it successfully.
Thanks for your input! |

if you build it on a yourself on a form 1 it will cost $200 whether you build a SBS or an AOW. Only a manufacture can build one with out the $200 tax _________________ Some people are like Slinkies.
