Check came yesterday. We normally don't hold checks until they clear, but this time we are! Don't worry, we're still holding a gun for you. You still haven't told me...did you really want it without a bipod, because that's the way the order came in.

Big surprise...the check bounced. FWIW, folks, this is the first time this has EVER happened to us. Not a bad record for having shipped 1000+ rifles. Still doesn't solve the current problem. I hate to say it, but it might just be lawyer time. Mad

Call him, let him know his check bounced and ask him to wire it to your bank today. If he refuses, tell him he's going to need a good lawyer.

Call the BBB and fill them in on the details i.e. the timeframe involved. Be specific. Ask them if any other complaints have been associated with this person/company. If so, tell your lawyer that info. Might be small claims court stuff but even if you win a judgement, it sounds like it would be impossible to collect. Put a lean on him personally and on his business. Call the television station in your area and tell them when you and your friends are going to picket the gun shop and they might be interested. Ask Mark to photocopy BOTH sides of the check for you... might come in handy later... authorities frown on people writing hot checks.

Michele just got off the phone with him. Supposedly he's sending certified funds within the next 48 hours. That's the best we could get out of him. I think it's as likely we'll get certified funds out of this guy in the next several days as Bill Clinton is to enter the priesthood. You need to call a lawyer NOW and see what you can get before this guy skips town, declares bankruptcy, etc. Actually, you're better off just going to Bubba's directly for a refund, and then get yourself another dealer. No sense waiting another week for me to post that another check has bounced.

Maybe I can file a non-delivery with american express.

wow you are a better man than i am i would try to have his "a$$" after all the stuff that you have been through! But i can not say to much i have one like that here just not a two dollar store here one of the biggest we have, you go to them and order a part for your gun three months later you find out from a friend that got a job there they never ordered it, or in my case i was out of town and stoped in a gun store in KY they got the parts ordered and in, in less than two days sorry for your luck hope it all workes out for you!!!!
