Any suggestions on removing the trigger group? I tried a hammer and a awl with no success, I am afraid to really hammer at the parts. Anyone know of a force multiplier like a sight push or something similar that can aid in removing the pins?

The trigger group is held in place with two .25" diameter dowel pins. They're driven in from the right side, so you should drive them out from the left side. Use a 3/16" to a slightly under 1/4" diameter punch. Support the trigger group on a wooden block and be prepared to pound HARD on the punch. The pins are a tight fit, but they can come out.

Follow Mark's (the other Mark's) advice, but drizzle a couple drops of penetrating oil on the pins and let it sit for a couple minutes before driving them through. When I put mine in I put a light coating of antiseize compound on the pins. Eventually, I'd like to replace the standard pins with retainer ring pins.
